Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Ithaca is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have to give a shout-out to The Bickering Twins because I don’t think enough people realize what a gem it is. I loved it under the original twin owners, but the new owners have somehow taken it to another level. The food is incredibleβ€”fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Every dish has those rich, complex flavors that make you slow down and appreciate every bite. The cocktails deserve their own five stars. They use fresh ingredients and top-shelf tequilas and mezcals, not the overly sweet, premade mixes you find in so many places. Everything tastes handcrafted. I ordered a house special made by the new owner who called it the Hernandez Special, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ll be thinking about it until I can get back. It had a lightly sweet hibiscus base, smoky mezcal, just the right amount of jalapeΓ±o heat, and fresh mint that tied everything together. It was beautiful to look at, but even better to drinkβ€”every sip revealed another layer of flavor. I also love that they have weekday happy hour and Sunday brunch. If you haven’t been recentlyβ€”or you’ve never ventured downstairs to this hidden spot on the Commonsβ€”you’re missing out. Ithaca is lucky to have rest

I really wanted to enjoy this place as I've heard so many people rave about it. My girlfriend and I were not impressed. We ordered some kind of cheese thing appetizer with chorizo added we thought it was a queso sauce, but ended up being some kind of cheese that was almost impossible to pull apart into pieces. Did not come with tortilla chips, the game with soggy and oily corn tortillas. For my main dish I had a birria plate with rice and black beans. It only comes with two, they hardly filled with anything. The dipping sauce is bland, The black beans are soupy and don't have any flavor not the only thing that tasted decent was their rice. My girlfriend opted for three chicken tacos with rice and beans as well, once again the corn tortillas were oily and soggy. Chicken flavor was okay, But nothing to be impressed by. The price point was okay but I noticed on the menu that most of the main dishes are a bit overpriced, there's very few choices on the menu, they're trying hard to do little spin on this type of meat or vegetable, or the whole dish. Not something I think they should be going too far out of their way to do. We might be a little bit more spoiled as I've had some of the b

Food didn't quite wow us, but it was overall good. We liked the salsa bar. The broiled cheese appetizer was not bad, but was very oily and I don't think the soft tortillas were the right carb pairing.

Simply stellar, came in with party of 4 with no reservation, they were full but accommodated our party at a bar table. Service was very attentive and friendly. Ordered the birria quesadillas and dulce de leche bread pudding for dessert and they were just phenomenal. Others were very pleased with the al pastor and lengua tacos as well as the flan. Mezcal house margaritas excellent. Will 1000% be back enthusiastically very soon

We passed this restaurant every night during our vacation in Ithaca and it always had people sitting outside. We decided to sit inside and it was cozy and inviting. The server was friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were great! We got to try the ceviche and had chips and salsa but still had room for our dinners. Everything was hot and fresh.
